NMC job cuts: call for transparency over nurse registrant fees

Nursing and Midwifery Council plans to cut around 150 jobs – over 10% of its workforce – to save nearly £10 million annually and address a £22 million funding gap. Critics, including NMC Watch and the RCN, demand greater transparency and consultation with nurse registrants on fee use.
