Her case was highlighted by Channel 4 research examining the plight of healthcare staff facing threats of fines and even court proceedings because of how some NHS car parks are operated in England. The investigation suggests the problem is widespread, with thousands of fines given to nursing and other staff in 2024 in just a small sample of NHS trusts.
