NMC fee rise: nursing staff consulted on proposed 20% increase
Nursing regulator plans to raise annual fee for nursing and midwifery staff by almost 20%, from £120 to £143. The NMC has launched a 12-week public consultation on the proposals, and said if it had raised the registration fee in line with inflation, it would now stand at £166. The consultation is open to nurses, midwives and nursing associates, nursing and midwifery students, members of the public, and anyone involved in the wider health and social care sector, and closes on 26 January.
